OFFICIAL RULES

Date, Time and Location: Sunday, May 25, 2008. Safe daylight to 3:00 pm, Wingate's Lunker Lodge, Lake Seminole

Rules Changes: The following rules of this Tournament will remain unchanged. Interpretation of these rules shall be left exclusively to the Rules Committee. The decision of the tournament officials shall be final in all matters.

Pre-tournament Practice: There will be no restrictions on pre-tournament practice.

Registration: Each team must register in person on Sunday, May 25, 2008 with Tournament officials by 6 A.M.

Safety: Each team member must wear a Coast Guard approved Life Jacket any time the "Big Motor" is in operation. Violation of this rule shall be reason for disqualification.

Sportsmanship: Competitors are expected to follow a high standard of Sportsmanship and Courtesy. No alcoholic beverages will be allowed in Boats or at Weigh-In.

Tackle & Equipment: Only artificial lures may be used. No live bait or prepared bait will be permitted with the exception of pork strips, rinds, etc. Only one casting, spin-casting or spinning rod and reel may be used at ant one time. Other rigs as specified above may be in the boat ready for use. All Bass must be caught alive and in a sporting manner. Trolling will NOT be permitted.

Boat and Motor: Fishing boats may be used that are 14 feet or more in length. No barges or similar cumbersome crafts will be permitted.

Basic Boat Equipment: Every boat must have all required Coast Guard Equipment. In addition, it must have live well space, properly aerated, to adequately maintain alive a limit catch of bass.

Boat Identification: Every boat will be given a numbered card. This card will be used for identification and determining flight or take-off position.

Permitted Fishing Locations: Fishing on Lake Seminole is permitted anywhere except within 50 yards of any marina, or within 50 yards of another competitors anchored (trolling motor up) boat. There will be NO locking through.

Official Checkpoint: There shall be only one official point for check-out in the morning and check-in the afternoon. This point will be designated at registration time on Sunday, May 26. At the check-out all teams and their boats shall be in full conformance with all rules set forth by the Tournament officials. At the check-in boats must be identified by the numbered cards and proceed to the designated weigh-in area. Team members should stay together during weigh-in.

Scoring: Only Largemouth, spotted, red eye or smallmouth bass will be weighed. The limit shall be five (5) of the above species and varieties, per BOAT. Only bass as described above which measure 12 inches or more shall be presented for weigh-in. The accepted method of measuring bass shall conform to Georgia Law which is: "from the tip of the mouth (relaxed and closed) to the farthest extremity of the caudal fin (closed)." Scoring will be one point for each ounce. In case of a tie for any position, the team with the largest bass will take that position. Any team bringing a fish under the size limit to the weigh-in will be penalized their big fish plus the short fish for each occurrence. DEAD FISH PENALTY shall be .25lbs for each dead fish weighed. All live bass will be released back into the lake. All ties will be broken by largest fish weighed.

Late Penalty: Competitors who are not at the official check-in point at the appointed time shall be penalized at the rate of one (1) pound per minute. Any team more than 15 minutes late shall be disqualified. There will be no excuse for being late. After proper check-in competitors will be allowed ample time to proceed to weigh-in site.

ALL PRIZE WINNERS ARE SUBJECT TO A POLYGRAPH TEST AS DETERMINED BY TOURNAMENT OFFICIALS.
